L.A. Examiner
Ken Layne, Matt Welch and Charlie Hornberger - journalist friends I know from eastern Europe as well as California - are trying to get the whole world to move down to Los Angeles. They've set up a weblog about the city. The stories - corruption, doings of dire newspapers, sex crimes, the usual mix of local news - may or may not attract new immigrants from Northern California.

Managing the knowledge manager - McKinsey Quarterly
Knowledge management software has always been tough to sell into corporations. Internally, the Chief Knowledge Officer - an increasingly popular role - has a similar case to make. Obvious benefits to better information flow, but they are hard to measure. And the returns take time to accumulate.
