More days in Parati
If you plan to stay on in Parati, there is much more to do besides the island boat trips. You can hike, bike, visit the Brazilian indians or take horse trips into the Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina – an enormous national park behind Parati. It’s not the Amazon but it’s fairly wild. There is also a very nice, bohemian village on the coast close to Parati called Trindade. It’s a low-frills paradise but you would need to rent a vehicle to get there. #
