What to bring
You should bring enough cash or traveler’s checks for your meals, taxis, or other small expenses. Most ATMs in Brazil are not connected to Cirrus or Star so it can be hard to get cash. You probably want to exchange your dollars for reals at the airport when you arrive. Hotels and big restaurants will definitely take credit cards, although Parati restaurants seem to be cash only.

As for clothes, it will most likely be warm and maybe even hot. Bathing suites, shorts and sandals are the most useful clothes. Chances are it will rain some, but they are short bursts. The wedding ceremony will be casual. Also, be ready to apply sun block and mosquito repellent. We may not see mosquitos, but they seem to be particularly vicious down there and can leave you itching the whole trip. To be on the safe side, you might Xerox your passport in case you loose it.
