Looking for a designer
I'm looking for a freelance designer to work on Gawker, Gizmodo, a forthcoming porn blog, and other niche blog-style magazines. Jason Kottke did the work on Gawker, but he's now got a real job. We're looking for a kottkesque design sensibility. What does that mean? If you have to ask, you don't know. Here are the job requirements.
· kottkesque sensibility
· experience with Movable Type
· experience with browser-detection, and browser compatibility problems
· Photoshop, Poser and logo design experience desirable
The compensation is, needless to say, poor. We're paying $2,000 for the next new site, and $1,000 for fixes to existing properties. But the work is fun, you'll get lots of input, and there may be more work down the line. Send a note -- with links to recent work, and without any attachments -- to design@nickdenton.org. Thanks!
