On risk
I just don't get the argument that US intervention is, because it's fraught with risk, unwise. Sometimes risk should be embraced. It makes sense to minimize uncertainty when you're content with the status quo, which was the case for the US -- until September 2001. But, if they already hate you, and they're already trying to kill you, and the status quo in the Middle East is so twisted, what's to lose by stirring up the region some? If what we've had is stability, give me chaos. #
