Dean Meetup
Ah, finally a Meetup I might go to. Howard Dean, the presidential candidate, will be at Essex Lounge tomorrow. Dean's interesting, because he's unpredictable: a budget hawk, and pro-gun, and a supporter of national health insurance of some sort, and gay marriage. He's against the invasion of Iraq, but his position is more than the usual reflexive angst at the Hobbesian world we live in. In short, he's an intelligent candidate, designed to appeal to the coastal intelligentsia. So he can't win.
