Bayesian spam filtering
So here's the problem. The spam I receive is driving me crazy. Web-based email services, such as Oddpost, offer Bayesian filtering of spam, and it works. Bayesian systems look for patterns in the from, to and subject lines to identify spam. Oddpost only lets through one or two items of spam a day, and hasn't made a false positive yet. But I still use Outlook, and a handheld device, to pick up email. So, ideally, I want the spam filtered out before I download it. About.com has a long list of Bayesian systems, but they all seem to be client-side. Any alternatives?
